Fruit Juices and How they Affect Your Teeth
The benefits of anti-oxidants, vitamin C, and some of the other ingredients within fruit juices have enjoyed a large amount of popularity within homes that promote good health. Unfortunately, many parents are either giving their children the wrong types of juices or too many servings per day. Some studies show that children receive as many as 5 servings of juice per day, putting too much sugar in their system as well as on their teeth. Additionally, many parents mistakenly give their children fruit juice cocktails and concentrates instead of 100 percent fruit juices.
Oral health is exceedingly important for children, and parents should remain aware of the correct amount fruits, vegetables, and other foods that they should be given every single day for a balanced meal. Regular trips to our dentist in Torrance are also tantamount to a child’s oral health and they should happen at least twice a year.
During these visits we will be able to discuss with you at length the condition of your child’s teeth and gums and what treatments may be available to them. This includes services ranging from spacers and fluoride treatments to dental sealants that are going to protect their teeth for years on end.
